The house also features a state of the art electrical/mechanical system, including 48-volt stand alone solar system with a SMA Sunny Island 4248U Off Grid Inverter, Outback FlexMax 80 Charge Controller, Outback PSX-240 Auto Transformer, 9 Schott Poly 225 Module Panels, and 8 Trojan 6 volt L16RE-B batteries. Kitchen and laundry appliances are made by Gaggenau and Bosch.

There is a private, 50-meter-deep, bored and cased well with official government registration. It comes with a Grundfos Submersible DC pump with controller, 4 dedicated solar panels, two 1100-gallon elevated water storage tanks, and a solar hot water flat plate collector with 50-gallon storage tank.

 

 Location

The property is located near El Carmen, on the Nicoya Peninsula of the Northern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, and sits ten minutes behind the coastal ridge of Playa Camaronal, which is a National Turtle Reserve and an uncrowded surf spot. The break is south facing and consistently world-class year round.

The home is 1.2 kilometers from El Carmen (population 25), which features a restaurant. It is 2.2 kilometers to Estrada, which has a grocery store, restaurant, and bar. Puerto Carillo, which features a beautiful, palm-lined beach, is 6 kilometers away and has groceries and a great Argentinian grill. 15 kilometers from the home is Samara, a popular tourist town with beachside restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and banks. It is 50 km to Nicoya, a small city, and 50 km south of Nosara, a world-famous surf town.
