“It was slow and inconsistent,” says photographer Jeremiah Klein, “maybe head high on the sets, max. Then this set rolled through and Derek Disney grabbed it: overhead, top-to-bottom barrel, and the only wave like it all day. After this he set his line and got a 40-yard tube—but didn’t make the exit.”
