Location

This the only house on the sand in Chacala beach. The location is ideal for families and those that love the convenience of walking out the door onto a beautiful white sandy beach. Chacala is a small safe fishing village 60 miles north of Puerto Vallarta and 30 miles north of Sayulita. The town sits on a deep beautiful bay that’s fun for swimming, SUPing, boogie boarding and fishing. In town there are restaurants and grocery stores. Less than two miles away are two premier surf breaks: Cholorin and Caleta. Colorin is a full barrel that breaks mainly on a south swell. Coleta, a few hundred yards north, is a point break that pulls in surf year round. Surf can also be found to the north at Playa Tortuga, Santa Cruz and Manichin bay in San Blass.

There are many days with no one out at Caleta and Colorin as these breaks are mainly accessible by boat. The town’s port captain has granted us permission to have a permanent mooring 200 yards from shore in front of our house that we keep our Wave Runner on. Each day we can take three surfers and three boards to the breaks. If there are more of us we take our boat, which is a short walk to the marina.

Property Description

Our compound consists of three buildings comprising 4,000 sq. ft. of living space as well as a corner commercial building, which is leased to Bernardo’s Restaurant. Our beachfront home has three bedrooms and four ½ baths and a huge outdoor palapa. Behind our home is a two-story building. Upstairs is a one bedroom one bath Casita. Downstairs is our caretaker’s home, which has two bedrooms and one bath. All three units have full kitchens and are connected to our solar panels. On the corner of our property is a commercial building that used to be the town liquor store. We still maintain a beer and wine license. The building is presently being rented as a restaurant. Our full time caretaker maintains the grounds, cleans the rooms and common areas daily and welcomes our guest. We rent our beachfront home and the casita on VRBO (see listing #100747 #894608) and Air B&B. This year we’ve rented 17 weeks. We could rent more weeks but we are there quite a bit.We own the property in a Mexican corporation of which we own 100% of the shares. We can transfer this corporation to the new owner.
