Leo Hetzel started taking pictures as a kid in school. He never knew that it would end up being a life long passion that would provide him a profession and give us priceless documentation of early California, Hawaii and Mexican surfing. That was before Leo focused his efforts on South America and Europe. A great read and some classic black and white photographs.
