When conditions permit, Ben Thouard documents the surf in French Polynesia from his paraglider. When strong trade winds deny that approach, he takes to the water, to his “playground” at Teahupoo, almost directly offshore from his beachfront home in Vairao. The resulting images display empty line-ups and unique aerial views of the islands’ many perfect reef-breaks.
