The Surfer’s Journal: Delivery Requirements

Printing:

Printed on sheet feed offset presses, direct to plate at 200 lines per inch. Final trim size: 9 x 11 inches. Allow 1⁄8 inch for bleed.

Electronic Formats:

Ads should be in Adobe PDF files for hi-res output.
QuarkExpress files are also accepted, and must be accompanied by all support files and fonts. Full-color proofs are required for ad verification and will be used for color match. Bitmap images should be at 350 dpi CMYK at size used with a maximum density of 280%.

This panel shows the correct Acrobat version compatibility. Use version 4x or 5x.

This panel shows the resolution settings for color bitmapped, greyscale bitmapped and line and text objects.

This panel shows the various printer marks (bleeds, registration, color bars, etc.)
